经腹公式：残余尿量 = 0.75 × 宽径(W) × 深径(D) × 高径(H)，单位 mL≈cm³。
正常残余尿：< 50 mL；50-100 mL 为可疑异常；> 100 mL 提示尿潴留。
大量残余尿常见于前列腺增生、神经源性膀胱、尿道狭窄。
椭球公式 0.52 常低估，经腹 0.75 公式更接近实测。

它是几何近似，与导尿实测相比误差常在 ±20% 左右，膀胱形态不规则时偏差更大。因此临床更看重同一方法下的前后趋势对比，单次数值不应单独作为手术或拔管依据。
